Dr. Carolyn Jennings grew up in Colorado and Florida before settling down for her high school years in Oldham County, Kentucky. She played soccer in college and loves to travel and watch sports. She and her husband, Andy, have twin boys, Marcus and Patrick, who keep them very busy!
Dr. Jennings graduated with honors from Hanover College, where she studied both sociology and pre-dental studies. She then attended four years of dental training to earn her doctorate degree with honors from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. She was inducted into an honor society for her dental, academic and clinical achievements. Upon completion of dental school, only 10% of graduates are accepted into post-graduate specialty programs. Dr. Jennings was accepted into one of the largest and most prestigious orthodontic residency programs in the country at Saint Louis University. After defending her thesis and completing the required two and a half years of study, she was honored to graduate with her master’s degree in orthodontics.
Dr. Jennings is on the board of the Kentucky Association of Orthodontists and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, Kentucky Dental Association, American Dental Association, Louisville Dental Society, Kentucky Association of Women Dentists, Bullitt County Chamber of Commerce and the Young Professionals Association of Bullitt County. She is also a member of the Louisville Mothers of Twins Club.
She loves being an orthodontist because it enables her to build working relationships with patients of all ages, helping them achieve a healthy bite and a beautiful smile. Being an orthodontist requires one to be a scientist, an artist, an architect, a teacher, a motivator, a counselor and a friend. Dr. Jennings strives to treat her patients as family and hopes that you enjoy the partnership and friendship that is formed during your orthodontic treatment.
